BTW: the 4500/7' combo isn't available for me (in Southern California) but it might be available to others elsewhere. I grabbed one of each of the 6500 combos (6'6 jigging and 10' surf). Total was $270 after tax and shipping. That's $135 a piece.
I can't comment on the new rods, but the Spinfisher V rod is very nice. The rod is really pretty weird but cool on the 4500. Its a medium tip to cast average medium rod weights, but it has a ton of backbone. I think it's a poor choice compared to a 2500 or 3500 for most inshore fish, but its cool if you might stumble upon something big like bigger or harder fighting. I know they went to no eye inserts on the new rods, which I think sucks, but people tossing them loose in the back of a pickup truck will probably appreciate that.
