As did I. Nice thing here is that you can buy a single or odd quantities instead of pairs for the deal. I also don't see a per purchase quantity limit like at WD.

Funnily enough, $189.99 x 2 = $379.98...like the WD deal. Pretty cool how math works!

It's nice to see some kinds of deals on Red Plus drives that aren't the 10TB model, even if this isn't the greatest deal ever. Still, it's close to $15/TB. It seems like most the HDD deals lately have been Seagate. I'm considering this one to complement another 12TB WD Red Plus I got a few years back.

yes that's precisely why i was trying to think if i did.

i bought 4 drives, but would like to have a 5th on hand for using to hot swap for raid 5 if something goes wrong

Lololol I doubt you have servers that span well over 100tb of storage. Files size will only get larger. The need to have reasonable price per TB will always be there.
