Looks like T-Mobile is offering a hidden $10 hotspot plan ($15 before Auto pay). This is for consumer and business accounts. It's for BYOD hotspot devices only and connected laptops (so no phones or tablets). Looks like you will have to contact T-Mobile to get this. There will be a $35 activation fee as well. See the attached flyer and link for more info.

How to get the fee waived? I bought a plan through tforce (x) they told me fee cannot be waived. Any ideas?
Certain rep will do it, most won't. Costco/T-Mobile rep almost always able to do it. If you are charged when you sign up then you won't get uncharged anymore

What are the prices after 1 year? If I signed up through T-Mobile is it a similar 12 month promo or is it lifetime?
It will be $10 until one day tmobile decide to increase prices. There's no set of time, so it could happen 3 months from now or never happen

Do any of the hotspot devices have an ethernet port? I'd like to connect it to a non-wifi device.

Thanks for posting the deal. I signed up for the hotspot line today at the T-Mobile kiosk inside Costco. The $35 one-time activation fee was waived. The recurring monthly charge is $10 (which includes all taxes and fees). And I will receive a $25 Costco gift card in the mail in about 60 days. The only downside is that the monthly cost may go up in the future, i.e., it is not locked at $10 forever. However, since this is a month to month plan with no contract, I can drop anytime.

My total cost for the first year will be 12 months x $10 ($120 billed by T-Mobile) less the $25 Costco gift card for a total out of pocket cost of $95.
what is this $25 gift card you are referring to? Can you please share the webpage for this rebate? Thanks.

I have the Helium Mobile $5 unlimited on my tablet. Is it worth upgrading to this one for better priority data at an additional $5 a month or is it the same sh*t.

Look at Netgear MR1100 and up series. They all have Ethernet ports to connect to a router or non WiFi device

So you are locked in for a year at $120? Then after that price may go up?
No, there is no lock. You can cancel anytime. I could have used any number of months in my example. I chose to use 12 months.

However, I suspect that I would lose the Costco gift card if I cancelled the hotspot prior to receiving the gift card.

Which hotspot you buy
They only had the Franklin T10, and I think it's only 4G but I'm planning on sticking the SIM card into a spare phone I have, I'll see if that works.

Do you know if that is the tax inclusive plan?
The SOC codes for this plan is MI30TI for taxes included plans (most people), and MI30TE for taxes excluded plans (older ones like simple choice). New accounts would want to use the taxes included version.

Do people really need unlimited Hotspot these days? Just curious what and when people use it for.
Unless they spend all day on YouTube or tiktok

I got a smart tv for a senior long time friend and while the local channels are free, I would like to get her on amazon prime or netflix and those need hotspot. Would a T-Mo 5G smartphone be practical or is a wifi device better? So many have dismal reviews. Suggestions most welcome.
