I put 6" heads and learned the hard way why people put 10 or 12" heads. after 22 years, the soil level increased by 3" and now the heads are above the soil by 3" and if I mow the grass to 4", the spray now hits the grass. So if you are planning to stay for a while, do it right and get taller than 6" sprinkers. Digging out each sprinker is more work than the initial installation when I rented a trencher and it was all dirt.

The same thing happened several months ago. I even called Amazon. They couldn't figure out what's going on.
