Not getting you. This allows one to buy product at 10% off. Can you simply walk into any of these places and get 10% for asking? I don't think so. Even better is you may be able to find coupons and still use the GC on top to get an even better deal. I just don't get your position as 10% off is certainly better than full price in any event.

There hasn't been much deal for Starbucks recently so if you need to use some, even 5% is a deal since it is extra.

My father in law once walked into a burger place (I think it was 5 Guys) and told the guy taking the order that he thought the price for the burger was outrageous. The guy asked him what he would be willing to pay, he named his price and got the burger. I guess this approach wouldn't work most of the time though.
