When I click the link , it says in store and online, does that mean I can in fact get a physical card if I go to Target? I'd prefer to give someone a physical card over a printout/email.

Why are these gift cards rated so low on the Target website? Lots of 1 star reviews claiming they were unable to use the gift cards.

Probably people that don't understand how they work (you can't just take the code to Home Depot or whichever retailer. you have to redeem it on a 3rd party site, which THEN gives you the store specific code(s)).

Because the deal isn't for a Home Depot gift card, it's for the Choice eGift card.

These cards are open-loop cards and extremely difficult to use at many stores and even worse online. Cannot use multiple online either. These cards function as a credit card and not a gift card. They have to have AVS/CVV authorization. Avoid and get single store cards that are actual gift cards. Giftcards.com and happycards.com falsely label these as gift cards.

I bought one, Target sent me a link which took me to Giftcards.com and i got to choose which real giftcard(s) I wanted.

At the end I have a real REI giftcard now.

These are not open loop cards but more of a voucher for you to redeem/exchange for closed loop cards before you can use them. The exchange process is fairly simple and done through a website listed on the back of the card.

The one nice thing is that you are not required to redeem the full value with one retailer. You can split it up. For example if you have a $100 cheers to you happy gift card voucher, you can exchange it for $50 in home depot and $50 in Macy's gift card.

Just read the some of the posts on this thread. There are people who just can't read and comprehend instructions on how to redeem a gift card.

So then they go and leave negative reviews.

This. I didn't realize this with one of these a year or so ago, and I tried to use it at LOWES. Spent about a half hour with 4 different customer service reps before we realized that it has to be redeemed for a GC FIRST....LOL

Repped. Confirmed it stacked with my target circle offer of spend $70 twice and get $15.

$35 target gift card back for $200. Pretty slick. Would be better if I had the chase freedom but I don't.

Thx op!
How far apart did you space your orders? Minutes apart? Hours apart? Days apart? I just don't want them to cancel for being too close together.

And to those who are giving these negative reviews or saying that they are hard to use, I have no idea what you're talking about. There is one extra step required with redeeming them, in that you can't just take them to one of the stores printed on the card and use it there. You have to first go to a website that allows you to pick which store you want the gift card for, and then they give you a gift card to that specific store.

I've bought countless numbers of these from past deals (usually on Amazon) and have never once had a problem redeeming and using them. I suspect most negative reviews are from people who don't understand the product.

Quick question? Does anyone that has used these before know if once you convert them to a Home Depot gift card, if you can then combine them?

For example, I buy 10 $100 Choice Gift cards, turn all 10 into Home Depot gift cards, then can I combine all 10 into one Home depot gift card?

If not, is there a limit that Home Depot allows you to use in one transaction?

Thanks in advance!

Bought one. Got the gift card in my email after 15 min. Then bought the second.

Hope this helps.
