And use a referral when creating an account to get $10 in Tello Dollars which can be redeemed for the second month.

In addition to good customer service, Tello has great flexibility if you want to bump up to a higher data plan for just one month, then drop back down. Plus if you manually renew a day early, the unused data will roll to the next month.

Visible has their basic unlimited plan at $25/month for years, the only thing that this Tello plan beats Visible is, you can use all high speed data for hotspot while Visible only allows you to use 5GB for hotspot.

Also, Helium mobile has $20/month unlimited plan.

Lastly, if you still want to get your monthly phone bill lower, you can go to costco and get the $10/month T-Mobile hotspot plan, and a $5/month hello mobile basic plan, use both in a dual sim phone, so you can get unlimited data/calling/text at $15/month.

If you don't need unlimited plan, as of now I think the ultra mobile 3GB monthly plan for $10/month is the best. Please note that it doesn't include the tax and other fees, so it will be about $12 per month actually.

Also, data + unlimited texting plans dropped. 2GB for $6 now, 1GB for $5.

However, the slow data after blowing through your allotment is now gone.

Good eSIM support and activation https://tello.com/buy/esim and a great referral program that will get both you and your friend Ten⁩ Tello Dollars to use on future service.

I've been with Tello for years.

The other new change with Tello is that they are ending unlimitted throttled data after you use up your allotment in all except the highest tier plan.

It used to be, you could be on the lowest data plans (I had 512 MB until recently), and after the data was used to 512 MB at LTE full speeds, I could then use unlimited data at throttled speed. But Tello is taking that away from all but the highest tier.

Thumbs down.

They got rid of the unlimited "2g" internet on all plans now. So if you use your data allotment, thats it. Before you could get the 500mb plan and still use the 2g speeds to get basic things done.
That is terrible!

You seem to know a lot about these plans... Any truth to getting boostmobile $10/month plan for free by watching videos in their app?

I am not sure about boost Mobile. I am not a fan of such free plan. I don't like to waste my time on watching ads to get few bucks rewards.
Ultra mobile currently has 3GB monthly plan on sale. Just check their website. https://www.ultramobile.com/produ...month-plan

We have one line on Boost, and I have been getting the $15/mo plan for free since May. I only spend a minute each morning spinning the wheel and clicking on a video or two. For the first month, I am cutting it close so I might need to spend more time next month or pay a little.

There have been other problems though and customer service is useless, so i'm not sure I recommend the service. We are trying to stick it out to get the iPhone 12 unlocked, but will then move away.

How does tello compare to mint quality wise? Seems like price wise are very close.

Didn't know the thing about the data, even though I've been with them for a little bit already. So it doesn't work if the person has autopay on?

You can have autopay on, but you have to manually renew your plan if you want data to rollover. I just set a calendar reminder and renew the day before. Here is what the help center language says:

Unused service from your Tello plan will not carry over into your next month.
Any unused minutes or data will be lost after 30 days, when your plan is automatically renewed.
Once your plan is renewed automatically, your plan starts again with the fixed monthly allowance of minutes & data.

There is one exception:
Unused service WILL roll over ONLY if you manually renew or change your plan at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing cycle and ONLY if the new plan contains all the services that you previously had. For example, the minutes & data of your current plan will roll over if the new plan has minutes & data. However, if you decide to buy data only, the minutes will not roll over.
