Are there any standouts on this list besides Killer is Dead?
(For those who aren't aware, Killer is Dead was a AAA-priced console title at release and the studio head behind it has a repertoire that's very similar to Kojima/Metal Gear Solid.)
If you like quirky, genre-defying games, definitely put that one in your cart.
River City Girls was fun. It's a gender-flip sequel to River City Ransom where the boys are kidnapped and their girlfriends fight their way through the city. Great music and good dialogue.
I bought it on Switch a couple of years ago but might pick up it and Killer Is Dead just to have them on Steam Deck.
I second River City Girls! I'd recommend spending equal-ish time using each character—you can create a huge level gap pretty quickly that can bite you when you decide you need the other character's moves for a boss. I've actually not played a game by WayForward that I haven't liked.
If you like the music to RCG, the artist is Megan McDuffee and she's done several other games as well as her own albums: links to all on her website meganmcduffee.com

Go to YouTube. Stick one of these titles in the search box followed by gameplay. Look at some gameplay and report if the game is any good. I'm going to do the first 10. None good so far.
