So Disney "ruins" Star Wars by making things that are in demand more readily available?
Cheapest complete at Sabeforge is like $250 and Vaders Vault is $800+ so not sure what you're talking about here.
You can get custom sabers that are far better for far cheaper. Saberforge and Vaders Vault are two I've heard of, but there's a bunch out there. Just don't go to Ultrasabers, they're pretty reviled.

Anyone have any opinions on making the stupid expensive one at Disney World? Worth it? The geek in me wants to convince myself to do it.

Ehhh, have a bunch of these a waste of money for now. Disney has ruin starwars, some of the originals were going up as collector items and of course disney re releases them to kill the value.

I did the Savi's workshop (with reservation) sometime around 2021, and I thought it was a fun experience. The lightsaber still seems to hold good value on eBay. I can't compare to other lightsabers, since I don't own others, but the quality, feel, balance, and build seem solid and good. Overall good quality item in my opinion.

Vader's vault start at $400 and Saberforge start at $160. How is this cheaper?
When I was your age Leia did not have a lightsaber. After routinely watching 4-5-6-1 marathons as a child, I literally did not go see episode 9 after whatever that 8th movie was.
