I have the 7x and while it performs well, I have to reset the USB-C dongle it came with on my XB1 X every time I use it. Not sure if it is the same on the 9x but it's annoying. Haven't tried it on my series X.
Anyone know of any headphones that can listen to dual sources simultaneously ? I am not talking about multi device connection with switchover. Price is no concern.

Are these better than the Arctis Nova 7?
šš¤£ no this is their older lines of Arctis. They should never named their headset like this. But the Arctis 9X have the same head part. I would op for the Arctis Nova 7X or 7P whatever console you prefer. The 9X's are plagued with many issues one of which is the hinge being very fragile. In time it will eventually break. They fixed that with the Nova line, yeah the Nova is the newest they have. The PRo line is their top tier. I have all of these 2, the Nova 7, nova Pro. The 9X bro within 30 days of buying from Amazon, sent it back.

I have these and they are my xbox headset of choice. Couple of things to note:
- They are easy to break on the cups where they meet the band, they get a small crack easily. Lift from your head using the band instead of the cups to reduce the risk.
- I've had wireless crackling/stuttering issues with most headset that use the xbox wireless for audio (even unobstructed from 3 feet). I've had the same issue with these but not recently. I think it largely depends on the amount of interference, it uses a similar band to some wifi, might be worse in some apartments. Can be really annoying when you can't get it to stop.
- They go regularly for $50 or less on ebay used, throw some new ear cushions on or clean the included ones and it can be super affordable. If your new ones break as mentioned above, easy to pick up a replacement for cheap and put your old cushions on them.
- If you plan to use these for an xbox and other uses, just know these will always turn your xbox on when you power them on. I've found that very annoying when I used them for PC/Xbox and the xbox was in another room.
All that being said, these sound great, the mic is great, super low latency, great for gaming for the price.
I now use steelseries arctis nova pros for my PC and these for my xbox but those are much more expensive.
Just got these from Best Buy about a month ago for 99 on Black Friday
Really like this headphones and like i can pare my phone and the game at the same time so I can listen to YouTube while I play
You will need a PC or Mac to download the steel series app to fix the audio settings to make the headphones sound louder because it can be quiet out the box with the app you can fix it
These were just $20 cheaper. Search the forum for Arctis 9X for price history.
Yup, Direct from Steel they were.
Just got mine in. Have used the 7x since last year. Been a great headset. No breakage in the hinge. Got these cuz I want the direct connect to the Series X and BT to my phone.
