The vacuum is nice, but the battery is terrrrible. I think I clocked it lasting 10 or 15 minutes. And that's on the Medium setting. (normal). The good news is that there is a digital countdown on it, so you can literally watch the % go down every few seconds. (like a bomb) The good news is that you don't dilly dally while vacuuming!

It does have LED headlights on it which are "cute", but I wish they would have prioritized the battery. But it is a decent vacuum though...for 10 minutes. Smilie

I pre-ordered this.
I hate this thing. I hate it so much.
Its weight distribution is murder on my wrists, the suction gets stuck on the floor if you turn it up too high, and setting it on low is useless.
The brushes kick stuff around on hard surfaces, and the battery life limits it's use.

I would buy this a replacement for a dust buster if it was $35, no more.

This. I got one when they just came out and was glad to be rid of it. Had your exact experience.

Have one of these, I didn't purchase it personally but I use it often. I hate it. It has decent suction, functions as a vacuum just fine. Battery life is short, but meets our needs fine, mostly hardwood and some carpet duty and we never run out of juice in a single use as a quick vacuum job in a decent size home. Big cleans we get out the shark corded for real cleaning, this is the quick pick up unit and it works fine for that. Not a primary vacuum for anyone unless only solid surfaces.

Why do I hate it? Tiny dirt/dust bin. We vacuum every other day at minimum with one vacuum or another and this fills up so quick it's silly. Literally have to empty every use. Opening dust bin to empty in trash is a pain to do cleanly, closing it back takes a solid whack with the heel of your hand to close tightly or it will fall open and dump your dust when using. The green filter thing you gotta twist and take out often to clean, which is dirty and dusty. Maybe every other use. Then to get to the filter you have to remove the whole bin assembly, and go in from the other side. Taking that off and back on the main stick is a pain, every time I wonder who tested that as was like yes, ship this as is! It's dumb.

So yes, it works. It does vacuum and seems to pick up ok. I'd still buy an other brand for sure. Not recommended. Hassle to use and keep clean and working its best.

PASS! I don't want Chinese spies vacuuming my carpet behind my back!
How do you get your spies to vacuum the carpet? I used to use the good old dead bodies in my back yard trick to get my KGB spies to hoe it for me.

Was looking at this vacuum for the basement as the best budget suggestion from rtings.com.

I think normal price from Walmart was $98?

True but only if they sell you the S model. I bought it from Walmart last year, I picked up from store, I didn't realize until I opened and started using, there was no mount. I got it for lower price, it was for TV room, so I didn't mind but I think it would be nice to have the mount. Just check the box if it says S model, it's no mount.

Seems very extreme case if employee abusing it, this is not industrial or even professional. Please get something meant for commercial use. These probably will burn the motor if you constantly run the battery down.

I have this vacuum at home and it's a BEAST. Absolutely love it. Incredibly light weight; it feels like a toy. Very easy to just sweep through the house. Battery is shit, but that's fine.
Couldn't agree more! I thought this would be a piece of crap because of its weight, but it grabs EVERYTHING. Battery only lasts about 20-25 minutes, but I have a spare charging all the time, so I can easily swap if I need it. I LOVE this thing. Might get another, just so I have a spare when I inevitably break mine.

How filthy is your house? If you can fill up the dust bin every other day with 10 minutes of vacuuming, I wonder what kind of animals live in that house.

Surprised to see any positive comments about this vacuum. I think this might be the worst engineered product I have ever owned. It constantly clogs, sometimes in the tube next to the spinning brush, but most of the time it clogs right where the debris enters the collection chamber. (We have two animals that have fur about 1-1.5 inches long.) I would not take this vacuum for free with how frustrating it is to use.
