I had Moto G Power, Moto G stylus, both 2020 release. These great mid range phones. I do not play games, but for everything else these phones work perfectly. I do not know about Moto Edge 2022 offered by T-Mobile, but Moto Edge 2023 is at least as good as my Pixel 6 Pro, my be not as good in Photo department, but other than that it looks and behaves like premium phone.

Go to the other (previous) thread.

More subscribers complain because either TMO or Costco (or both) messed up the gift card process.

Also, more subscribers still waiting for their GC

Confirmed, i entered random phone for trade in and I got requires Magenta or Magenta+
I am on Simple choice. Another proof that T-mobile hates us.
Can confirm, they hate simple choice subscribers. It's been miserable dealing with them since the plan was grandfathered. I have opted to not accept offers from tmo, because they will mess you up.

The value of this deal doesn't make up for the risk of them screwing up the offer, or being on the hook for 500/phone for a 2 year duration.

This phone can be regularly had at around 140-150.

You will pay 35 + (500×tax rate) per phone.
For me, that is over 80/phone.
I'm not that desperate. Mint mobile seems more attractive as a simple choice subscriber every day. We probably at this point are deprioritized on the network like a Mint plan is anyways

If you do it within a Costco tmobile store, no 35 activation fee + $75 costco gift card. Works on simple choice plan too.

Has anyone been able to use this promo offer, or ANY promo offer, for the old-school SCNC (Simple Choice No Credit - Prepaid) Plan?

And for the Simple Choice Plan folks (who are on the Post-Paid version of it), how many lines do you have? And what is your monthly bill?

I called the Costco 1-800 number and first asked about the upgrade to the moto edge. They asked for my T-Mobile phone number and my Costco number. They confirmed that I was eligible for the moto edge and that they would waive the $35 activation fee. I asked if I would also get the $75 Costco cash card, and I was told I was eligible and would receive one for each line I upgraded. I did 2. I did have to give the IMEI of the phones I was trading in. That's about it. Pretty painless.
They said you can trade in any phone working or not working and never asked for IMEI.. hmmm

Are the device specs in the OP correct? T-Mobile is showing 8Gb RAM, but the OP has it at 6GB.

Dang! That's not bad, at all. I have 3 lines and I pay $112 per month. And this is what I used to pay for 2 lines, but, somehow, was eligible for a promo ("This One's On Us") a few years ago and was able to get a 3rd line, for free.

However, this is, literally, the only promotion that I can recall ever being eligible for. So, it seems that the SCNC Plan is recognized as a prepaid plan and, therefore, is ineligible for all promotions, these days. However, I wanted to at least ask and see what other people might say about it.

how do you get the IMEI off of a damaged phone that won't turn on?

My phone was fine, I just asked him what was acceptable.
