That is too say that Hogwarts Legacy is a game where the visual presentation, and the feeling of immersion is the most important thing about the experience.
To put it another way, this is one of a select few titles where a high end gaming PC with proper RTX features and HDR, actually elevates the experience significantly.
If that's not an option, then the PS5 version is a significant downgrade, but still very good.
Seriously, they put soo much time and effort into all the small little details and the look of everything.
The first time you step into Hogwarts with everything cranked to the max, and HDR+RT it's on another level.

Hogwarts Legacy, overall, is freaking fantastic. The Switch version is by far the 'worst' (I have it on PS5/PS4 and Switch and have played through is 2x, working on Switch now).
Graphics are significantly dumbed-down (both characters and environment), and the open-world aspect is also toned down. You enter areas now (i.e, leave Hogwarts and enter open world, leave open work to enter Hogsmead, leave Hogsmead to enter a shop.. etc.).
Having said that - the Hogwarts Legacy game and experience is all still there, and it's still a really enjoyable time. Just the 'worst' version of the really enjoyable experience.
