I'm a guy and never used a serum. Basically only use foaming face wash, st ives facial scrub , and moisturizer. I do get areas of dry skin and redness flare ups sometimes around upper sideburns, back jawline area, behind ears if I don't moisturize consistently. The eucerin eczema relief cream cleared that up. Also over the past year I've been using a silicone pad face scrubber rather than just using my hands and fingers to apply face wash
