    I just use Transmission fluid. . It's worked for 40 years. No rust on any gun that old and clean bores too.
    Pistols lubed with a few drops of quality motor oil.

    For those interested, google "Ed's Red gun cleaner"

    That's what I use as well in a little oil can. I don't believe in CLP. I use a cleaner and an actual oil.

    Works extremely well. Motor oil, especially high quality ones like pennzoil or mobil 1, is designed to perform in much harsher environments than a barrel chamber or trigger sear.
