For anyone who would like to remove the permissions you granted for this deal, go here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections

Then, look for an entry called "gweb-play-points-app"

You can remove the permissions by clicking on the entry, then at the bottom you click on "Delete all connections you have with gweb-play-points-app"

Ok, I chatted with support and rep said that the 40% off requires you to be at gold level for at least 10 days before it will work. This promo is good until 12/31. The trade-in values and current google store discounts are supposed to remain the same until 12/31 so I guess you can wait 10 days and get this deal without losing on any current deals.

Google doesn't let promos stack. This will be off the MSRP and not their current ongoing discount.

The Google Store banner says 12/18, did they say 12/31 somewhere else?

Yeah, I mentioned the several different dates. The rep said 12/18 is supposedly for pixel 7. Look at the fine print at the bottom of the page after you select the 8 and dates are 12/31

Just received email from google. For being YouTube Premium member gets $275 off pixel 8 and $325 off pixel 8pro. Use code at checkout. offer ends Dec 23,2023. Google Store holiday discount offers of $150 off Pixel 8 phones and $200 off Pixel 8 Pro phones will be automatically applied. YouTube Premium members will receive the additional $125 discount at checkout with the code included in this email. Not sure which deal is better - cheaper? One requires Gold status & other requires youtube premium. Discount is off full price. I can get pixel 8 128gb for $158.98 after $300 trade-in on Pixel 7 (256gb)

They said you would be eligible once you have maintained Gold Status for 10 days, and that once eligible, you should be able to "view and access details and a unique promo code through an in-product card under the Perks Tab" I know some of you all said 3 days, so I'm hoping you all are the ones who are correct, rather than Google's dumpster fire support team.
I feel this comment personally. I submitted a support request to confirm if this was a legit offer or a phishing attack and I spent almost 3 hours on chat and call support talking to 9 different people in 4 different departments before they said "We'll have to ask a specialist, which will take 24-48 hours before a response should be expected...." Absolute joke.

No. It is a single device discount. I already ordered a Pixel 8 and went to test if ordering another one was possible, but it just says Promo Code has already been used when you make it to checkout.

They assumed the current discounts Google is running stack on this promo offer, which they do not. So the current discount for a Pixel 8 is $549 vs $699 retail. So instead of it being 40% off the already discounted $549, it's off the full retail, which leaves the cost at $419.40. Still a better deal than their current price discount, So still an absolute win in my opinion.

Honestly, wondering what's the best offer. I'm not planning on giving up my Pixel 5 for the more fragile options, but can't really see using their tablet/home station..... Still leaning toward the latter😂
