For anyone who would like to remove the permissions you granted for this deal, go here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections

Then, look for an entry called "gweb-play-points-app"

You can remove the permissions by clicking on the entry, then at the bottom you click on "Delete all connections you have with gweb-play-points-app"

Ok, I chatted with support and rep said that the 40% off requires you to be at gold level for at least 10 days before it will work. This promo is good until 12/31. The trade-in values and current google store discounts are supposed to remain the same until 12/31 so I guess you can wait 10 days and get this deal without losing on any current deals.

This right here is the answer. I have it since launch day, but my SO wasn't thinking to upgrade until this deal. with the 40% discount plus the 7-trade in. The 256gb of the 8 is about $210 after tax and fee. Why not right? The 8 reminds me of my S10, it is much easier to hold than the 7. with the "promised" 8 years of upgrade and spare parts.

Yes I have the same. Yesterday got the gold status and says next perk on Dec 22. I hope the discount comes through before too long.
