It doesn't matter which VPN you use as long as it can give you an IP address that appears to be from the correct region for the purchased key (Egypt in this case).

That said, unless your school is in Egypt, it's unlikely your school's VPN would show up as such.

So I've got my vpn set to Egypt with mock location on but going to xbox site with 2 different browsers just brings me to the U.S. site.

figured it out. thanks

Try opening a tab in incognito/private mode or download a new browser. also try going to dnsleaktest.com to see if your PC location to confirm.

Never done this before, but can confirm it worked. Took 15 minutes starting from scratch and completed everything from my iPhone. Used ExpressVPN on the 1 week trial, which I have since canceled. Am currently playing the game

Totally got this to work with Bitdefender VPN set to Egypt! Word to the wise, I had to browse for this link to actually get it to come up for Egypt price.

Couldn't get past the last prove you're human using firefox, but was able to get through in chrome. Then used the 24hr free trial of cyberghost to redeem. Eneba is dumb though, required a text confirmation code to complete my order, even after I saw the charge confirmed on my credit card. Downloading now, cheers.
