When everyone redeeming your code did you see the line "It'll be added to [email protected] (United States)" ? I think it was because of this reason my redeem didn't work because the key's region was in Egypt while my account region was in the US?

That's what mine just said and went through without issue. When connected to a vpn, check your public ip to ensure it's routing through that region. If you use pihole, adguard home, or any other dns protection, I'd try manually setting your dns to something else just to rule it out.

I would've paid full price for the game if there was a demo I could try and I liked it. Or if I had a physical copy I could resell if I didn't like it. Unfortunately for Larian, this is the avenue I'm taking, cuz I'm not paying $70 for a game I'm not sure I'll like. Really appreciating now what Square Enix did with the FF16 demo.

Key from eneba worked great using ExpressVPN free trial.

I suggest using a different VPN than VPN.lat. Several screens where you need to opt-out of data collection. Here' the shady part; right after opting out the normal window pops-up on iPhone to type your pin and allow the VPN. Behind that pop-up VPN.lat has a white page with WHITE text detailing additional data collection with no opt-out option.

Pro tip: If unable to load the redeem.microsoft.com page using VPN.lat, click the settings icon and select all apps to exclude from VPN-LAT except the browser app then click accept.

Wouldn't have mattered for FF16. The game ended up not living up to what it should have. I am a fan of Yoshida's work and have been subbed to FF14 since nearly launch but his work doesn't translate to an offline game very well. The demo was great but the game ended up lacking something.
