It's certainly an interesting bit of drama.

One other possibility is that the original January delivery date is actually correct, but they marked everything as "shipped" when the order went to the original factory/warehouse in China, and the Amazon system wasn't smart enough to account for creating a UPS label that won't be applied to an actual box until the batch of boxes arrives at a US logistics center from China.

So it seems like some of the possible options are:

A. All orders will get cancelled once someone figures out it was a price mistake.

B. Orders will show up this week/next week as scheduled after ordering*

C. Orders will show up in January, as stated when placing the order*

*Additional factors:

1. Manufacturer might refuse to honor warranty and subsequently get destroyed by massive customer anger and BBB, AG complaints, etc.

2. Bikes may be "counterfeit" (but likely exactly the same product from exactly the same set of Chinese factories, just not "authorized.") This could give the manufacturers an "out" with regard to denying warranties.
2a. Bikes might be totally legit, and the manufacturers are full of hot air and just mad that someone sold a bunch of their products at a loss, even though they already got paid and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it, except whine, and try to retroactively modify warranty terms.

And yet that very same one is "Ships from and sold by Amazon"

How many buyers even look at the product details to see who the seller is, when 90% of items on Amazon are fulfilled via Amazon warehouses...

Anyone get their bike delivered yet? Not feeling great about the shipping status between Amazon and UPS being different.

As policy, Amazon does not charge a credit card until they ship an item. Only a pending charge should be present and that may even drop off before the actual shipment. If an item is noted for shipment weeks away (as this was) then the card is not charged until then. It's curious as to why this rapid charge took place for an item that was listed as shipping weeks from now. Amazon does not create labels and generate tracking numbers for items they do not physically have. I want to believe that this is some type of bulk shipment to various locations with handoffs to UPS later. This was mentioned in another post. Perhaps wishful thinking. Regardless, this is a convoluted and confusing way of getting a product to a customer - if it's even legitimate to begin with.

Was supposed to arrive today but of course didn't so order now shows the following:

"We're sorry for the delay. If you have not received your package by December 15, you can come back here the next day for a refund."

So am pretty sure I won't get it by 15th so will be requesting a refund on the 16th. Seems like they're going to be offering a ton of refunds for all these different e-bikes they won't be shipping.

All pending charges for 3 bikes have now disappeared from my cc. I guess cancellations incoming

My charge was actually posted and think most were since they were supposedly shipped same day order was placed.

I used my Amex offer and got $60 off so hope if I get refunded, that Amex offer will still work.

My status has now changed to delayed and asked for a refund. At this point, i'm pretty sure that this was some kind of mistake, and as always, amazon never honors an order at loss.

I emailed heybike about the warranty period length and they told me they would not honor the warranty if the price was below $500 and not from the official heybike store. They even included a screenshot of the recent deal page from this thread. lol Told me to cancel my order as it was a scam. lol I'm not going to cancel. Just will see what happens and ride it out. I will probably cancel the Asurion plan though. I cannot imagine the back and forth over this situation with them about if it is still under warranty. I'm not sure it would cover the battery either from other things I've read and that's my main concern.
