When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.

A lot more drama there with an account claiming to be HeyBike saying they never sold these bikes to Amazon and that any price under $500 (including shipping) won't be honored.
There's clearly something going on here. Amazon wouldn't be likely to have a huge error selling stock under "Amazon.com" as official seller unless they already had the stock or had an agreement with HeyBike to sell their inventory.
Still doubt we'll see these bikes unfortunately...
Which is more likely to be a "scammer" Amazon.com, one of the world's largest retailers, or Heybike? 🤔
It's just hilarious that they think it's okay to sell their products on Amazon, while claiming that Amazon itself tries to scam customers 🙄
Whether or not customers actually receive the items, Amazon will rectify the situation, like always.

I'm thinking each one of these can't be delivered the normal UPS way, which is why HeyBike/Mukkpet said it's $200 extra for delivery.
If these do get shipped, it's probably 800billion-pound-gorilla Amazon making UPS do some sorta magic to get these to us.

Incidentally, just trying to return a battery creates the same problem. I had a faulty Juiced battery, and the local FedEx location couldn't even accept it. FedEx also couldn't do a residential pickup for a hazmat package. I ended up needing to drive like 30 minutes and drop it off at the main FedEx Ground depot. I assume UPS is probably similar in this respect.

My question is really about why this is happening in the first place. The fraud argument is weak b/c it's sold and shipped by Amazon. And the fact that this has been going on a few days indicates it's probably not a price mistake. Curious where Amazon is coming up with this inventory across several manufacturers.

I heard Amazon co-mingles items like sd cards which can be fake but ebikes is a abother level.
