When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.

I reached out to chat this morning and they offered me the refund and $50 for the hardship. I denied the offer and mentioned I am looking for the bike and not a refund. Then it was a radio silence for a long time and then the agent came back and said she can offer me $171 which is the variance with the current price (400-229). I denied that option as well because of the $120 shipping cost. Then after a while she upped it to $291 including the shipment cost. I then talked through to convert the promo credit to amazon GC because promo credit could be applied only on Amazon purchase. Since Heybike is the seller now the promo credit couldn't be applied there. So overall I got $541 GC - which was the original price + tax + the GC. Good luck you'll.

I already got a refund for the heybike order from a previous chat with amazon. Called customer service yesterday and asked them to give me the difference between what I paid and what it would cost to buy the same bike now: $360. They offered to give me a refund of that amount after I recieve the new order. I declined and asked to be connected to a supervisor. He asked me to find a similar bike that's sold by Amazon. I added the SWIFTY bike to my cart. It was $442 more than my original Heybike order. He said he can give me $400 in promotional credit and $42 refund after the order is delivered. I accepted that.
Does anyone know when the promo credit expires??

"Hello. I placed an order for an ebike, sold and to be shipped from Amazon, on December 10, 2023 with Order# 111-*******-*******. The ebike was to be a Christmas present. I was immediately charged and the order was then quickly marked as "shipped". A UPS shipping label was created on the order date. Since then nothing has happened with the shipping. Apparently Amazon does not have the bikes. I am NOT looking to just cancel the order at this time. I want the bike so could you please offer a total refund and an Amazon gift card to repurchase the bike from the current seller Heybike? My cost to reorder the bike is $399.99 + $120 for shipping + $21.97 tax. (You may need to involve a supervisor for this request) Thank you."
She ended up with an email from the rep confirming a refund and upon reordering they would credit the price difference for a new one AND cost of shipping. Best of luck all.
