Why do people say it's not a deal, random guess some lower value but don't bother to post a link to such a "deal"? If this name-brand prebuilt PC should be under $800 then LINK IT to an exact spec unit that is name-brand prebuilt in stock for delivery for under $800!

4.7 (out of 5.0) average review with 77 reviews on Best Buy doesn't sound horrible.

Worse, it's the 8GB 4060Ti. Really, that should knock it down to under $800

Don't expect any customer service from Dell. I've had several problems with my Aurora and they are worthless.
Not my experience. Use Chat. Better to get around the language barrier also.

Wow, a 500w power supply. How exciting
The fact that of all components, you find a power supply amazing is, well...odd.

Hmm. Coming up at 1199.99 now. Am I missing a step to "seal the deal" ? 🤷
Yes you are. Did you read the deal (2nd sentence)?

Bought this setup a couple of weeks ago when the retail was 1299. I combined the 10% coupon along with 2x Amex offers and 15% cashback. Thinking of requesting a price adjustment from Dell but worried how that might affect the Amex offer and the cashback. I split payments so any kind of refund back to a card would bring me below the $599. Anyone else in a similar position?

I wouldn't buy it for $1200, but it's a good deal for $1080 or less. This same PC was getting much more interest just two weeks ago at a YMMV $1050 price (after AmEx). I don't know why it would be less appealing now when it's available without AmEx at an essentially the same price.

Admittedly, there has been plenty of good to great desktop deals in the past few weeks. So it is hard to keep track of them or even decide which is better.
It would be a good deal at $120 less? That's 10% lower... not nitpicking here but if $1080 is a good deal so is $1200... the Amex deal applies here too getting you to the $1080 price point. I'm tempted to jump on this. Thanks!

I think it's snark.. 800w+ power supplies are pretty common and the cost delta to Dell isn't much

I have had great support from Dell. The key is to know what you are talking about.

Here's a YouTube Short overview of the new R16 line from Dell. I'm not impressed:

I wouldn't classify that as a review. It's a clickbaity short from an obvious custom PC enthusiast, who I doubt would ever be the target market for this. I honestly don't understand the hate on these systems. If you aren't looking to constantly fiddle with your setup to max the performance for small gains, then what's the issue? My experience with AW machines is that if there's a good deal it's a great value for people who just want it to work and not deal with tinkering with custom parts. The amount of headaches from custom setups that have incompatibilities or other issues are much more problematic to address imo.

I think this is an OK deal if you are getting an additional 10% off but I don't think it is great at $1,200.

I think this one is probably a better value without the 10%:

$200 less, uses standard components instead of proprietary parts. It has DDR4 instead of DDR5 but, at least for gaming purposes that probably won't make much difference because you are going to mostly GPU bottlenecked with a low-end GPU anyway. 4060 vs 4060Ti also isn't all that different to justify the price difference.

But AW is targeted more towards the PC enthusiasts who could build their own systems. The average PC shoppers would go with a regular Dell or HP line instead.

Well that's my point. Reviewers complaining about upgradeability and non-standard parts is a moot point. I bet the vast majority of AW buyers never upgrade a single component outside of the drives and maybe RAM here or there, which is extremely easy with these machines. So again, I just don't get the issue, they are a good deal for many who want ease of use and good power.

They need to bring better shills here. This one is broken.

I had never bought a pre-built PC until my last two. Yeah used to be fun, etc. but got older and tired of it. Just want something out of the box to work. I maxed out a R16 and threw a 3 year warranty on it. I don't plan on ever taking off the case panel.
