Careful with that first link..that's a 1TB and also 99.99
USB-C is interface standard, it's physical shape of the connector; USB 3.2 is protocol standard, it represents data transfer speed.

USB-C can be with different standards. For example, USB-C on iphone 15 and iphone 15 plus are USB 2.0 standard (480Mbps), while iphone 15 pro and pro max are USB 3.2 (10Gbps)
everyone is hating on the extreme because of data loss fiasco. Prior to that, I would've said extreme all day. Hate these things but I gotta change my tune now 🤷

I also had a problem with the Samsung website. The 2TB drive was $99.99 when added to the cart, but in the cart the price jumped to $289.99.

Yes, by a lot. It's not even close.

They do work but they have limits. You cannot play Series X/S games on it, but you could use it for 'cold storage' where you copy games you want to play back to the system memory or to an official 'expansion card'. Older games should work fine directly from this device.

Why is the 1TB drive linked at the same price? Someone is going to accidentally buy that one.

Using on my MacBook Air m2 currently. Erased/formatted as APFS at the very beginning, good to go. I didn't /havent used the fingerprint option, so haven't tried to install the Samsung software. Works great currently, very quick.

I purchased mine off of Samsung too for $85. Still hasn't arrived. I called and complained about my order being delayed, and they gave me a $25 store credit.
