This and the Mukkpet have the similar messages concerning the legitimate sale of their products. Also, the fact that these listings keep coming back seems a little strange. Does this not concern anyone?

I was debating using my Amex over my Amazon card as more protection or at least extended warranty.

I ordered one, but tempted to order another two so the fam can enjoy biking around town and to a park that's so much better than our nearby park but it's a few miles away. Feck it, that's what credit card protection is for right?
I'm going to be the voice of reason here. They do take space + if you have regular bicycles in the garage. Maybe one for the kid (and possibly another for the wife/husband)? Then you can pedal 😀 Think how often are you all going to go together? Do some of you mind pedaling for exercise? Then again it's so cheap! Screw it, get 2 more and Christmas is done. 😂

You've reasoned me into buying.

Mukkpet is back also. What is going on!?

Sold by Amazon, fulfilled by Amazon.
Buy now ask questions later. I pulled trigger on the $275 Mukkpett. Debating on this one now, so tempting, but already have 2 bikes that me and wifey barely ride hahah.

ONLY A GUESS.
Amazon seems to be cleaning inventory of select ebikes and scooters. Either their worried about having so many batteries in their warehouses or they're not moving inventory as quickly as they want (since these are not only shipped but also sold by Amazon and not a third party seller). They're possibly selling at cost to clear stock. Could easily be wrong though.

Is it worth springing for the $43 2yr warranty?
I decided against the $43 2-year warranty because my main concern with an e-bike was the battery, and since this came with an extra 20Ah battery, it reduced the chances of not having a good battery within 2 years. Other things that might break or require maintenance are more likely to be easily fixable by someone with bike repair skills, and it supposedly already comes with a 2-year warranty on the bike and 3-year warranty on the battery.

EDIT: Plus, what actually happens when the 13Ah or 20Ah battery starts losing capacity near 2 years? Do you file a claim and then send it back and they send you another battery (I think the 20Ah battery goes for $499)? Or do they just send you your $411, or do they want you to send the whole bike back for "repairs?"

Read the one star reviews on this bike. You may change your mind even at this price. The first red flag is the hub motor is only 500 watt not 750. The second is how many batteries are failing soon. Finally, customer service is about non-existent. Definitely get the third party warranty.

It's kind of odd that it says "carrier picked up the package" on Tues, December 12th when that day hasn't even occurred yet. I guess they are getting way ahead of themselves in the planning, lol
I noticed that too. I wonder where they are shipping from.

Breaks and battery seems to be the main issue and apparently customer service is terrible. Battery maintenance is a thing though so not sure if user error for some of the battery issues. 500 watt motor is a red flag though. Maybe I should swap to just one of these and buy a couple Mukkpet instead 🤔

See the mukkpet thread. Customer service seems to be same as the rattan people lol
I figure there is a good chance a lot of these ebike companies go BK before warranty is up and you may have to do some research on your own for future repairs but many parts are generic enough to find spares
