This looks like it would match the Polk R700 (walnut) nicely... Using a sub with those speakers possibly not necessary though...

This subwoofer Frequency Response is 36Hz - 180Hz

Can this subwoofer help If my speaker Frequency Response is already at 35Hz - 25kHz? I don't want to buy a huge, expensive subwoofer for my bedroom at the same time I want to know whether adding this subwoofer will make any difference if my speaker already goes down to 35Hz
Frequency range for speakers can be abused, ie it is given within a certain db range, eg 35Hz-25kHz +/- X db, which tells you what the speaker output will be at those frequencies. The bigger the db range used for reporting, the wider the frequency response will be on paper, but doesn't mean you can hear it, eg at -6 db you will barely hear that frequency in the mix. You can probably find the response curves as well and this will visualize the roll-off of frequencies at the low end.

My guess is that the porting and tuning of the Jamo will still add audible support for low end to your towers.

a frequency response spec without a +/- range is a meaningless number. this spec is by far the most abused in the industry. companies generally fall into 3 groups.

Reputable: these manufacturers use a +/-3dB range. this range is considered to be a flat response as human hearing sensitivity is ~3dB. there are a huge number of reputable companies that fit into this group. High end speakers will go as far as matching drivers in a matched pair of speakers to within 0.5dB. Companies in this category include Wharfdale, Mission, PSB, Paradigm, Martin Logan, SVS, KEF, Dynaudio,

Very questionable: these manufacturers will use a +/-6dB range. we call this marketing data since it doesn't accurately reflect performance when compared to +/-3dB data. marketing folks will use this to fool people into thinking a product performs better than it really does. you see this done on a lot of low end products, including "brand names" you are very familiar with JBL, Klipsch, B&W, etc. sometimes you will see them pick and choose data. their low end products may use the 6dB range (to enhance their appeal) and use the more meaningful 3dB spec for their upper level products.

Not reputable: these companies don't use any +/- range. this makes the frequency response meaningless as there is no defined acceptance limit. this product would fit into this category. Again there are "brand names" you are very familiar with Polk, Infinity, Definitive Technology, etc. that use this tactic. You may see this called " Overall Frequency Response" which is meaningless (No +/- range)

without knowing the +/- range on your speakers it would be impossible to accurately say if a sub would help you. and since this product has no acceptance limits it is impossible to state that you will get any benefit using it.

I really want to get this to add the Jamo set up in walnut I currently have. Having two subs instead of one seems like a nice time 😎

No doubt this is a decent Jamo sub, but this sub is better and with a pair of speakers $229:

Jamo C912 Subwoofer White https://a.co/d/dXDLZ1O
Where exactly does it "say" it comes with a pair of speakers for less than $456.84??

Show me where it says a subwoofer and a pair of speakers for $229. I'm aware that's what's in the photo, but it's a mistake. Show me where the description says you get anything but 1 subwoofer.

"What's in the box -
Powered Subwoofer, Grille and power cord"

Thanks for all the responses; I have decided not to add a subwoofer for now. Of all the bookshelf speakers I have tried or used, Klipsch RP-600M II sounds the best even without a subwoofer.

List what speaker you have. Many of those frequency claims are false or at a minuscule level.
You can give this a shot, but it may not add much. I have a pair of 280FA's, which have similar drivers to the 8000F, and I'm using a 15 inch sub. They handle the frequencies under 70hz.

With dual 8 inch drivers in a large ported cabinet like the 8000F will likely have more low end output than this slim 10 inch subwoofer.

If you apply a low pass crossover (small speaker setting on AVR), then you may get the benefit of better placement, but may not get additional output.

If you run your speakers full range, then time aligning your main speakers and this sub may be challenging.

This sub is meant for bookshelf speakers that don't have much low end or tiny towers. Not really large towers like the 8000F's.

When you go to the link there is a picture with Jamo Subwoofer and speakers that says 229. Should be both together sold. You can always return it if the speakers aren't included. If you want the sub alone it's $169. The sub is fantastic I bought it last year and it hits hard!

frequency response: 29-125 Hz

I know. I already said that picture is a mistake. Someone used the "bundle" pic that is positioned just below the pics of the subs. Nowhere does it say you get any speakers. It only mentions the sub.

You might want to consider deleting your initial incorrect post to stop someone from making a purchasing mistake.

And as far as that "frequency response: 29-125 Hz", don't believe it. This sub is gonna start to roll off just below 40bz and the only noise you'll hear at 29hz is distortion or port chuffing. It's called physics.

10" woofer + 150W (monetary peak most likely amplifier) + ultra slim cabinet = nothing special.
You can have 2 out of 3 things when it comes to a subwoofer… small (aka ultra slim), loud, and cheap, which this is, not only in price but in components.

This sub is fine for a bedroom or small apartment system. This "lifestyle" sub can't compete with subs that are actually designed for "output".

True, this is an entry levels sub, but could you post links to $100 subs that you've experienced that are superior?
