I agree pixels are worthless after 1 year. Stick with Apple if going on 3 year contract. At least the 15 pro max will be worth $500 in 3 years.

I am only seeing offers with trade-in. Doesn't matter if I select new line or upgrade.

I love my pixel 8 pro, but being stuck with 3 years of bill credits is crazy to me. This is the sole reason I went through Google with my trade in because they apply the full amount immediately. I hope this trend reverses course at some point.

Pixel 8 is free through Verizon though.

VZ's deals are all requiring you to be on their "Unlimited Ultimate" to get the full value. Even then you have to keep the phone and their Ultimate plan for 3 years. Hard pass. I've got a family plan. We've got 3 people ont heir basic unlimited paying $38 and I'm on their Play More for $45. To get their "deal" I would have to agree to pay $10-17 more per month for THREE years. Not to mention that I'd lose a few features that we have from the grandfathered in plan (Free disney+ being one of them). So this free phone is going to end up costing me +$600 in line charges for features we don't want/need/use. Hard pass.
