Guys, you can load epic games into steam.........
You know what would be awesome? If Epic/Steam/MS made a Movies Anywhere version of game licenses. I would spend so much money on Epic if they would populate in Steam.

Might have to grab that Cyberpunk bundle though… and MK1.
Wow, I had regrets I didn't grab Alan Wake 2 from the sale a couple weeks ago, and now it's already dropped another $7 so instant buy. The other prices are great too, Epic is consistently 20%+ cheaper than Steam sales.

I bought my 12 yo daughter a gaming laptop (4050) for Christmas. She also has a switch. Opinions on getting Hogwarts Legacy for either platform?

It is a great game my 10 yo daughter played it as well as me. It is probably the first game she played consistently without me having to remind her and the first one she finished.

I won't disagree with this.

But at the new OLED price point I feel the value is no longer there as compared to the previous $399 price

For $399, you can still get the 256 GB SSD LCD Steam Deck instead of the old 64 GB. Better value than before. What's the problem?

The Last of Us Part 1 worth buying on PC now after a few rounds of patches? (I don't have any consoles)

Yes! Beautiful looking game with a great story. I watched the show first, then the PC game came out and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Gog is the only one who proved that concept. They allowed anyone with steam to get gog version. Gotta give goodwill props to those who did it. Epic by giving free weekly deals also won me over. I am ok with competition bc I could not let the monopolistic idea of one launcher take over at that point.

Epic's achievement system is less relevant than Steam. You won't get satisfaction getting an achievement with Epic because it's an inferior gaming platform
Free deals and play-as-u-go neutralizes it. Steam advantage is preserving games when reinstalling. And a stronghold. Steam has the foundation but I welcome the competition.

I know it may be hard to believe, but a company can be terrible and give things away for free. Just do a quick search for "Nestle Infant Formula Scandal"
This is hate for a game launcher and advocating to keep a monopoly due to fanboying for a store that just happened to be first.

Nope, not for a launcher, for the company itself. Also, never mentioned a single other store. If you really are pining to know who I fan boy for, it would probably be GoG.

QUESTION: I've seen using HeroicLauncher or NoSteamLauncher to run Epic games via SteamDeck. Now its a mix bag of people having issues with Epics games on SteamDeck while others it just works fine. I see there are similar deals on C.D. keys for say "Spider Morales", "Ratchet Clank", "Last of Us".

With Steam Winter sale just kicking off, those games are still 33% more than from Epic store.

Is C.D. key just a code I can redeem on Steam store for those games?
TIA!
