Actually, it's perfect logic but it's very weird you don't get it.
I see my PS5 like airlines see their planes… if it's. not in use, I am losing money. Also why play on an old pc with crappy image when I can use my wall mounted tv on a remastered version of the game ? if that what i want to play
If all those old Playstations are still working, then I don't blame you.
No repairs on any of them?
All of my and my brother's consoles still work
1st gen NES
Genesis
Saturn
1st gen PS1
backwards compatible PS3
3x 360
1st gen Gameboy
game gear, not sure version but its a SEGA not Majesco
multiple 3DS
multiple game boy advances
micro game boy advance
My dad's Atari still works
We bust them all out every holiday season and play our favorite games, mine being Die Hard Arcade on Saturn. Only issue with any of them is that the ps1 needs to be turned upside down for it to read discs correctly, and has been that way since it was about 1 year old, countless hours on it, including probably 1500 just on FF7 alone.
Playing some older emulated games isn't going to tax your PS5.

No matter what you do, you're playing these games on SOMETHING. If you're not putting wear and tear on one system, you're putting it on another. If you're so concerned about wear and tear, you might as well just not use the PS5 at all.

Not really. The only issues I've had is the classic disc read error for the fat PS2, but cleaning the laser lens inside the PS2 is an easy enough fix. It sometimes has issues playing DVDs as well. All of my other consoles work great without any tinkering. The Xbox 360 is the only console I've had fail on me with the red ring of death (twice!).

FYI there is a screw (we called it POTS back in the day) that you can turn to fix the PS1 laser. If you search it you'll find it's a very easy fix, just need to back sure you turn it only a little bit.
Or just play PS1 discs on PS3 and get the benefit of wireless controllers

You're lucky white 360 overheated twice, turbo express , Gameboy, gamegear won't power on, original xbox had orange ring error. Dresmcast, psone with lcd screen still works. Still have 360 kubect console. During the mini console turns I bought 2 genesis mini, 2 plastation mini, a refurbished nes classic direct from nintendo, and a snes classic. Haven't opened any of them for collection purposes except the refurbished nes classic

Better to just repurpose an old PC or other system for that.
