Okinawa is a great place. However, isn't the first image of the post Mount Fuji. Is that not a little misleading?

Just get a deal from LAX to HND and book your okinawa trip separately via peach air or equivalent. It will be cheaper/same price and you get the freedom to do tokyo however you want.

Okinawa is Japan's Miami. The weather is temperate. The beaches and ocean are excellent.
Uchinanchu are a different race from Japanese. Culturally, they're a little more sincere.
There're many things to see and do spanning thousands of years.
The cuisine is outstanding (except for seagrapes, their anchovies, and fish gelatin). How fresh is the fish? It was swimming of Hedo Point six hours ago. Charlie's Tacos are the best on earth. Teppan yaki chefs are superior.
The culture is almost unparalleled. Their dances and songs and Okinawan karate are delightful. The habu-mongoose fights are fixed.
Naha is a bustling, big city. The farther away you go, the better the experience.
Sleep on the floor (tatami).
Avoid tourists!
Orion Beer is brewed locally and wonderful.
Try the awamori! [evil grin]

If you're exceptionally daring: take a trip to the Keramas, Miyako-Jima, or ride the ferry to Shin-Kobe.
