Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

0% financing for 5yrs is a great deal because of where interest rates are. CX-5 is being replaced by the CX-50 which is why this is the only model with this offer. Obviously pairing this with discounts would be the way to go but that's just going to depend on your local dealer.
CX-5 is not being replaced by CX-50. Go to the Mazda USA website you can see both still have 2024 model

My issue with Mazda is the trims, I know a lot of makers do this but things like Auto gate lift should be offered as a upgrade or with the lower models... Mazda you have to buy the something like the 2 or 3rd highest priced model... This goes for a few other features...

Who cares about grand total? Price before tax, title, license and doc fees is what matters most to compare apples to apples.

Pre-COVID, CX-5's were easily had at 17-18% under MSRP, where Invoice used to be but no longer is. It doesn't mean the dealers are paying more than their vehicles. It's a game all manufacturers have played, increasing the Invoice price up and up over time, Mazda included.
I don't know about Mazdas, but with domestics pre-covid I had always purchased for under invoice.

Invoice isn't the actual cost of the dealership after all, since they have volume incentives and holdback that pay out as well.

CX-50 is not replacing the CX-5. They're completely different vehicles and market. CX-5 is their top selling vehicle and will supposedly be refreshed/remodeled for 2025.

What exactly makes a car sold in 2023 dated? If it keeps costs low, I'd rather they didn't add a bunch of expensive and unnecessary modern bells and whistles to cars these days. Aside from safety options that actually affect crash performance, there isn't much added to cars these days that's not just a bunch of added fluff, and the turbo trend is actually bad for motor reliability.
lol..dated? So whatever that guy buys is dated. These cars are excellent long life vehicles that perform well. Here in N Cal the CX-5 can be bought through various dealers internet department for under $30k.

LOL, for those not familiar,

Wheel locks should cost about $30
Interior Lighting about $35
Rear Bumper Guard around $9
Cargo Cover around $100

The markup on those items is insane!

tesla price has been normal for quite some times. their price is the same or cheaper compare to 2019.

it is everyone else that has been jacking up their price. why do you think model y is the second highest in new vehicle registration in Q3 2024.

it is other vehicle company slowly (and reluctantly) to the idea of reducing price.

Mazda is way better ride quality, performance, and design. They're a blast to drive and still work great off-road if you need it. I had a 2015 CX5 and loved it. Never had any maintenance issues

Curious why they never seem to have these offers for CX9. I'm assuming they're more popular?
They had 0% for 36 months + 10% off MSRP when closing out CX-9s this spring… And CX-90s are trending in the same direction, since they are having trouble moving them.

Oof, Mazda is wayyyyyy better ride, drive, quiet interior, better tech, the list goes on. Subaru has gotten better, but Mazda still blows them out of the water right now.

Drives pretty well for a crossover. Last time I shopped I was willing to go CX-5 or CR-V and we ended up CR-V hybrid because my wife preferred it. If the price and financing were lower like this deal I'd have wanted to get the CX-5.
