Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

New car has free warranty. If you trade in , tax is much offset. Low interest for new car. Néw experience
here in CA we are taxed if buying from private party. When title is transferred or new tags issued, that's where the grab occurs. However one can massage the claimed sales price a bit.

Right? I hope this guy is joking… Toyota makes the most outdated cars on the road.
As a first time Toyota owner that replaced both vehicles with Toyotas in the last 18 months, I have to agree.

But they were the only ones that had what we were looking for: AWD van for the fam with great gas mileage and tons of space, seating configurations, and little convenience features and a RAV4 Prime which scratches the electric itch/gives me instant torque and mostly runs all electric for my needs but won't leave me stressing if I forget to plug in or am taking a longer trip.

25 y/o me wants to punch current me for saying this but I do loooove our Sienna.

I used to believe that argument about used cars. But in the end, you're not saving that much.

Let's say you buy this new at $30k. 3 years later, you sell it for $20k. Cost you $10k.

The alternative is to buy a 3 year old car at $20k. And then sell it in 3 years for $14k. So it cost you $6k. Not exactly a mind-blowing amount of savings.

And you have to deal with someone else's farts and decal matter embedded in the seats, and their nose pickings on the carpets. I'd rather work harder and get new.

Unless you're buying a super premium car that has massive early depreciation (Rolls Royce or Ferrari) or you're buying a 7 year old+ car that already has about 60% of its value depreciated.
anybody that buys cars on 3 year cycle is a fool to begin with

Bought a 2023 Carbon at the beginning of the year, the last one on any lot in South FL with the Bose/lift gate (chip shortages took them out for credit). Able to snag 0% for 36 months at MSRP.

Great SUV and really fun to drive. IMO best bang for your buck for driving experience.

The Turbo definitely amplifies that but the standard engine is very capable and the speed switch helps give u a little extra when u need it.

Was looking to trade my other 2016.5 cx-5 for a used CX-9 but man this is tempting me just to get another new CX-5 with the 5 years 0%.

This is not a deal for everyone.

If you're in the market for a NEW car like CX-5, it's a good deal since you will get the car you want. The interest rate is 0% over 5 years so you can spread spending and put your money in the bank to collect interest. However, if you plan to pay car off early (let say about 2-3 years), put big money to down payment. I gonna say try to negotiate to get best price OTD (most of the time at least 2k-3k off their 0% price). It all depends on your financial situation, sit down and do some math.

For people's ok with Used car, go for it. Lightly used car is usually a better deal for car like CX-5. Make sure to check it carefully, bring your technician over or buy certified pre-owned. The only downside is that you will miss some newest upgrades compare to the new model.

Note: we talk strictly on the CX-5 similar car and I work in car industry.

Nobody is gonna pay off their car early if they have 0% for 5 years. That's the draw to this deal. A $500 car note is doable if you know there is no financial gain paying it off early.

Obviously if you looking to save money on the vehicle, don't mind being the second owner and have cash to pay it off immediately that's different. But 2-3 years with these interest rates may as well go new, with new warranty and be the first owner and don't give the bank any extra for 5 years.

The media loves brain dead sheep like you lol. Do you only read article headlines? It's not a recall. Tesla has to send an OTA software update.

Ironically was going to buy a Mercedes, they had a 30% markup, so went next door for a Cayenne Turbo. Very fun! Now I'm on a Taycan kick, but that V8 was glorious. 0-60 in 3.2 in an SUV is insanity. I can only imagine the GT variant but that's closer to $200k+ and I'd rather a Urus.

it's a recall. How the recall is done is irrelevant. Legacy OEMs also do software updates as recalls.
