Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

Curious why they never seem to have these offers for CX9. I'm assuming they're more popular?
I have a CX-9. It's my favorite car ever. Turbo 4 cylinder that gets the same mileage as my RAV4 but has a third row. I would imagine that it gets similar mileage as the CX5 as well.

Doc fees are negotiable. They are a random, made up fee by the dealership. They can be $50 or $500, completely arbitrary.

Rule of thumb for everything else, anything taxable is negotiable.

Gotta agree. Maybe 15% on an Escape or Equinox..... but... well... then you'll own an Escape or Equinox. Lol. And in 5 to 7 years... factoring in depreciation difference between Ford/Chevy vs Toyota/Honda/Subaru/Mazda, that initial money savings doesn't mean squat down the line.

What mileage are you getting? I have a 2023 cx5 with 8k on the odo. Getting 29-30 on mixed drives. Don't push/rev her too after stop signs and red lights. Try coasting when you see a red light instead of trying to be the first person to be there.

So in 2019 I got an exceptionally good deal on a Jeep Compass. Like 11k off MSRP so it's loaded.

My mom liked the crossover so she went and bought a CX-5 in 2020. The sticker price was cheaper though she ended up paying more out the door, she did either get 0.0% or 0.9%.

I have no problems with the Jeep, that said the CX-5 is an unequivocally nicer vehicle. Mazdas drive so well you can tell they put more focus on that then say 12 inch touch screens or android auto. I would put it easily above the Rav4, Rogue and CR V as well, all of which I've spent some time in.
Compass is a Fiat. Junk. Better hurry and sell before it starts costing you way more with all the repairs that are coming soon.

well, doesn't matter 0% APR or 8.99% APR. dealers are taking all the credit anyway.

with 8.99% APR, you are not even getting MSRP.
with 0% APR, dealer won't even sell to you without at least 3000-5000 mark up anyway.

those nasty dealers should be wiped out and car should be sell directly from the manufacture.

That makes sense if you can't evaluate investments or your ability to deal with temporary losses or gains. Every major purchase isn't a financial win,(right away). Sometimes it's just a win for your family. If it makes you bitter to think you bought too high, or sold too low, learn more and get better. I like to learn about new things I didn't know about before. Reducing ignorance can be scary for many people. But being ignorant is far worse because it makes folks confused and scared and angry as a result.

Ah, so no, you can NOT provide any basis for your claim legacy car makers can do OTA recall fixes.

Because nothing in your link provides a single example of one doing so, and in most cases cites legacy OEMs that either can't do OTA at all, or can only do it for infotainment.

Which is what I originally told you.

Ford Recalls Almost 400,000 Trucks Over Trailer Brake Software Issue

You can stop looking so foolish now.

This was the only thing you posted about an actual recall from a legacy car maker... and hilariously it mentions the dealer has to apply the update-- as in you need to physically go in to have it done-- not OTA.
