Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

Our Mazda dealer was super smooth compared to Honda and not pushy. We did go to a dealer 60 miles away because they had the same car for $400 less.

They let us use a credit card for $4000 down at the time on our CX-5. But with 0% APR, you'll be paying them back with inflated money so I'd get the longest months for that.

The oil change plan they offer is overpriced. But when you get it, I've notice they want to come in for it way more than the usual intervals.

I will just say, "I don't care, give me best price you can and I will purchase with whatever (cash, check, loan, you tell me)". I can't see how this could drive me into a corner. Or do I _absolutely_have_to_ stress I am financing? That's the part I can't get over in these youtube titles. (And I am not a lease guy.)

Only sales tax, title and registration fees are non-negotiable. The rest are fake fees! You can negotiate the doc fees down to $75 or to $150 like most of the dealerships. $499 for a doc fee? You got screwed if you pay that much!

Really? Much bigger inside too?
Yes and feels bigger with the Pano roof, better leg room front and rear and the rear cargo area is longer and optimized for gear, I can easily fit the 55qt roller Lifetime cooler longways without putting the seats down, the cargo area is very similar to the Rav 4 besides the Rav has a little more height near the hatch and boxy rear end because of that (4 fam members have the Rav and I have the CX50 TPP)

You keep saying that and it keeps not being true.

Why do you repeat untrue things?

Destination fee is required to be uniform across all vehicles of a model sold at all dealerships. It is set by the car company per model/year and is not a "fake" fee and is not a number the dealer gets to change.

I know this is the CX-5 thread but just wondering if anyone here has an experience with a newer Mazda 3 sedan? I'm in the market for a car and the Mazda 3 looks decent (at least on paper). I believe the 2.5 NA 4 cylinder that Mazda is using a cylinder deactivation if I'm not mistaken? Is that an issue these days for longevity? I believe Mazda has these a handful of years back and took it away for a few years and then brought it back so maybe they improved it?
I have a 2012 mazda 3 that my wife bought new. We absolutely loved that car the first 5 years we had it, then we reached 5 years and 1 month and it has been a headache ever since, mostly having to do with electronics (including airbag module) and transmission. I'd happily lease a new Mazda, but I'm a buy it for life kind of person and I would never do it again, as much as I like their cars new... I was waiting to buy a CX5 diesel and mx5 when I got plagued with issues and burned by the warranty.

It's given that the destination fee only applies for new vehicles.

If I didn't have a 2021 CX-5 leased already I would buy this car. It's so damned nice.

Mine was mostly good. No issues whosoever during my 6.5 years of ownership. Except steering wheel was too damn stiff, cabin was too loud, and wiper was absolutely terrible. I think they fixed most issues in latest cars because my friend's latest cx5 was certainly better. Oh right, the service center near my house was also bad but of course it'd be different for you.
No issues whosoever except.... paragraph of text... That's not how "no issues whatsoever" works

Got a 2019 CX5 AWD GTR, and I absolutely love it. The only negative is that the touch screen only works while the car is parked. I believe newer models don't have any touchscreen functionality at all now. Personally, using the knob is more distracting.

I'll be careful talking/discussing about Mazda reliability. During early post-Ford era, Mazda (most likely post- 2013/2014 Mazda models), ship Japan made cars directly to US. The quality of those cars are top notch. Not sure about the quality now if they stopped doing that.

Still no touchscreen. Have to use that joystick thing. Makes zero sense.
Pretty sure you can enable it in the settings like the CX50, I think the 23/24 has the same new infotainment as CX50. But the touch only works in AA /carplay environments but that's what almost everyone uses only, really a non issue as the control wheel is very intuitive after a day or so of using and prefer it to keep the screen clean, it's rare I ever use the touch screen unless voice search is not giving my result and need to type in a location
