Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

Total Sticker Price $38,835.00

Friends and Family discount -$2,600.00
Mazda Loyalty discount -$500.00
Total Price of Car (This probably where your bread and butter is in terms of where you can negotiate) $35,735.00

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

I wish this was a plugin hybrid or at least a hybrid. The gas mileage on this vehicle sucks.

Our friend has one and he's constantly complaining of the pathetic low 20's MPG.

now that's dedication to saving a few bucks
As a deal hunter, I may waste money on something I actually don't need, but I will not buy anything knowing there is room to push it lower. It is not about the money, it is about the discipline and the satisfaction.

Oil changes are easily $80 at the dealership, so it's more than a few bucks Smilie

Because 0% when rates are 6-10% depending on your credit equals THOUSANDS over the life of a 60 month loan. Brand new $28,800 for 0% is about the same as buying a used one for $23,000 with a 6% rate. Total cost of ownership is almost exactly the same.
Somebody has this game figured out 👍

Should be good for her. Might even want to look at the CX-30, as even thought its a bit smaller then the CX-5 and toes the line on being classified as an "suv", it may meet her requirements and save a few bucks. Mazda is reliable as all hell across all models, so wont have to worry about breaking down or hefty repairs.
Thanks, I'll take a look! Hopefully has good % rates

0% apr is a great deal these days as vehicle financing rates were through the roof and still pretty high.

I think everyone will agree saving thousands in interest is a "slick deal".

5yrs ago...many automakers offered 0% apr regularly. Not so much these days.

Even better deal considering Mazda is one of the most reliable automakers out there and most of us on SD are frugal and want our cars to last a long time.

Feel free to post 0% APR for Chrysler when they offer it. lol

I agree 0% is great but slickdeals was never a platform focused on auto sales. I believe that is why it has become what it has become throughout the years. There is a place for everything and seeing car deals on a platform not built for it can be overwhelming to the ones who use this platform for shopping deals.

What's next? Will we see people advertising boats and homes on here?

If buying that boat/home saves me tens of thousands for potentially me and many others...hell yeah post it on here! Smilie

I dont understand the point of buying these new. You can get a clean, recent low mileage used for thousands less, and these hold up, so the few extra miles aren't going to mean much.

More details of what I mean...

They have been selling certified pre-owned CX-90s for $10k below MSRP. I ended up buying the CX-90 S Premium with 4900 miles for $48k before taxes and fees. $53k OTD. MSRP new is $58k. And with the CPO I got a longer warranty of 82 months 100k miles.
