I think we have the older version of this (the sides are black and not shiny like this) for a few years now and we use it everyday. It's fast and makes good cup of espresso. And it's compact enough it doesn't take up a lot of space, we even take it on vacation to make coffee in the hotel room.

2 issues we had so far, one is after a couple of years it started to drip when it's at the On position. 2nd is it would get stuck once in a while (nothing comes out of the nozzle or very slow), we found out that there is a little spring in the mechanism (hard to explain here) needs to be cleaned and stretched (found that solution on YT). Otherwise it's been great for our use.

Uhhhh you don't know what you're talking about lol

De'Longhi isn't a no name Chinese brand. It's a well known and popular Italian brand.

Might want to check FB Marketplace if you are fine with a used one esp if you just want to try making espresso. They are going like $40. Sell it back same price or higher when you get tired with the mess for every single shot.

I got this during black Friday for 150 from Amazon. I mostly make cappuccinos and in my openion they are better than even starbucks. The size is compact and the machine is well built and doesn't feel cheaply made. Easy to clean as well. I got a few additional accessories like frother jug, coffee measuring cup to help with correct quantities. I am exploring different coffee beans from my local grocery store to figure out which ones I like and that's work in progress. Since it's manual machine, I have purchased Hamilton Beach Fresh Grinder for grinding the beans and it does the job. Overall I extremely satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend if you are a regular coffee drinker.

I don't think the model number matters much for these and may be retailer dependent. the major difference may just be stainless vs black plastic on the sides.

Here is the link for Sam's club: https://www.samsclub.com/p/delong.../P03011320

The Brevilles go for so much more. From the price difference this would be essentially a child's toy. I wonder why the DeLonghi is able to sell theirs for like 1/5th the price. Maybe since no grinder?

Been putting off getting an espresso maker all while wasting money at the coffee shop. This thing will pay for itself in a month. In for 1 until I figure out which stupid expensive one to get
