I was hoping it was going to be an easy buy, but the negative reviews put me off for now. It's a shame because the kid loves cars and lego, but I can't justify it given everything.

Opportunity to teach your children about money before they start throwing loads of dough into Fortnite in a few years, get you to sign them up for subscriptions services just so they can have digital outfits to change into and etc. Give the kids the option to have the money in digital outfits or cold hard cash instead- or better yet, setup a bank account and tell them you'll match every dollar they choose to save. Teach them about assets vs. liabilities, and open an investment account for them. Some day your kids may be able to retire you and you can thank me then.
