This is the early 2022 model with 48 GPU cores rather than 64 GPU cores, but it's a beast. NEW condition with 1 year Apple warranty.

Apple sells this model refurbished for $3,059 when they're in stock:

Yup and good callout. Woot is confirmed NOT an authorized Apple reseller. Also, the warranty begins on the date that Apple sold these to Woot. Warranty does NOT start on the day you purchase it. You can verify the actual warranty start date (after you receive it) by calling Apple.
I'd be careful with WOOT and Apple products. I don't think they're an authorized reseller, therefore the Warranty could be invalid, regardless of what their site says.

I've not had a problem if the product is sealed Certified Refurbished by Apple.

presumably if you're in the market for a studio, this would be a better buy than the M2 Studio Max

This is new.

However, here's what B!ng chat has to say re: Woot authorized reseller status: I searched the web for "woot authorized reseller macs" and found some relevant results. According to [Apple Insider]1, Apple Authorized Resellers are retail outlets that can sell Apple products via their physical store or online store with official permission from Apple. These retailers often have dedicated sections to Apple products called "Apple Shops" which act as miniature Apple Stores with an employee specifically trained on Apple products. The following retailers sell Apple products in some capacity on Apple's behalf: Abt, Adorama, Amazon, AT&T, Best Buy, B&H Photo, DataVision, Expercom, Connection, Macy's, Net 10 Wireless, Newegg, Office Depot, Sams Club, Simple Mobile, Staples, Straight Talk, Target, TigerDirect, Total WIreless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, Walmart, and Xfinity. However, I could not find any information that suggests that Woot! is an authorized reseller of Apple products. In fact, a user on the Woot! forum 2 reported that they were told by a product support representative that Woot! is not an authorized seller of a product they purchased. Therefore, it is recommended to purchase Apple products from authorized resellers to ensure the authenticity, warranty, and support of the products. I hope this helps!

If the warranty is expired or about to expire, contact Apple. They will often adjust the start date to your purchase date even if not from an "authorized" seller. That's not their official policy but asking nicely and respectfully can do wonders. They might refuse but it's something to try if you buy. I doubt these will be out of warranty though. I've purchased in similar situations and have always had the Apple product in warranty.

Well aware, but you're buying from an unauthorized reseller, so if Apple chooses to not honor the warranty, you lose. Enjoy!

Lucky you, but it's a cautionary tale. There's plenty of legitimate Apple resellers that have this pricing pop up.

I wouldn't spend $2K on an Apple product that could possibly be denied.
