I have this piano, absolutely love it. It's my first so I don't have much to compare to, but I know I wanted full action keys on this. I'm replying to this thread so people can know a huge tip.

The BEST thing to pair with this Piano, for cheap, is the set of 2.1 Klipsch PC speakers that goes on sale for 50$ often on this site. It takes this piano with mediocre sound, to a room shattering, bass pumping(as wanted) masterpiece of a piano. Quite awesome.

This is a better deal piano wise, but the stand, bench are low quality...either option is fine because you will need years before you out grow...also look at Facebook marketplace..I got a p45 with the wooden stand for 150..lot of people quit

I have this piano, absolutely love it. It's my first so I don't have much to compare to, but I know I wanted full action keys on this. I'm replying to this thread so people can know a huge tip.

Thank you for letting me know about this. So I probably will not go with the Alesis for now. Would you recommend this for being a good buy? Or should I wait for a better deal and I don't know if I already missed one at this point for the best piano.

This is a good buy, the accessories are trash but it does work. The review for this model is good for the price point. There was one I think mid June for $469 the same model without the stand+bench. I am sure you could probably get a better quality stand+bench for $100 but like I said this works. I don't see a point for waiting a better deal if you are looking into this model.

The headphones are very uncomfortable and don't sound good. The keyboard stand is not really not stable enough for this keyboard. The seat is very hard and flat. The pedal is fine, but I would rather I didn't own anything else since it's just taking up space.

We are looking to get a beginner keyboard for our son, but price is a concern as well as aesthetics for the wife.
This is what we're looking at and seems to have good enough reviews when searching. Anyone have any input or comparison with the Roland?

As someone who got into both analog and digital synths this past year and purchases several, my advice to anyone looking to learn to play a piano/keyboard is to start small.

I love my large synth but a cheap small one gets a lot more use because it lives on my desk next to my computer keyboard. That allows me to switch back and forth more easily and get quick 5-minute practice sessions in. I can also pull up videos and play along. When I go on the large one, it is a dedicated task that I have to make time for, so it is much less frequent.

Sure the smaller devices have fewer keys, and some have mini keys as well. But it will take a while before you would be ready for something bigger. I am personally considering getting a Artoria Minilab 3, because I feel that would be even more convenient than my small synth.

I see pianos like this to be more for people with kids, where they can leave it set up but then fold everything up and put it away when you have house guests.

This one with the official Roland stand looks a lot nicer imo .. but you can also get https://www.costco.com/roland-frp...86636.html if you are on a budget and I think it looks nicer than the Donner.

Donner makes a decent lookinf piano stand, called a z stand that you can get. Id rather get the roland.
