Except for 4090, there's little demand for them.
Even at this price the 4080 is a silly choice.
I've owned ~40 different gpus in the past decade. I've never noticed a difference in drivers between AMD and Nvidia. COD and Halo Infinite were glitched on Nvidia for months. Switched to AMD and it was fixed. Then there were glitches on AMD with something I was doing, switched back to Nvidia and it was fixed. I'm currently back on AMD.
TLDR, both manufacturers have issues with drivers at any given time. I have 18 years of experience and have owned more cards than most people will own in a lifetime and I don't notice a difference. Buy the most FPS per dollar and disregard brand loyalty.

I don't like spending this kind of money to not be able to get good performance on everything therefore I would go with the 4080 for ray tracing because that is likely the future, is it not?
I am speaking about 4k performance btw.
Games with Unreal 5 have just started coming out, and it generally has heavier requirements than Unreal 4. I'm sure developers will push limits on VRAM requirement as years go by. My guess is that the 20GB VRAM on 7900XT will age much better than the 12GB on 4070Ti. At least for me, no point getting the 4070Ti even though it's cheaper than 7900XT with this sale.
It will have 16GB VRAM.
