Story time!

I showed up today to pick up the order early because I wasn't sure if it would still be in stock during my pickup time tomorrow. One other guy I had never seen before was there with a flatbed cart. There were a couple of TVs left. We helped each other load our carts with our separate TVs. It is gigantic!

I checked out before the other guy and went out to my car. I opened the back hatch and realized it would not fit unless I unbox the TV. As I was doing so, a couple of different people walked by me and asked if I needed help. I wasn't sure yet if I needed help, and so I told them that I could probably take care of it.

Then, the other guy from the store that I had helped load his flatbed walked past me and said "Hey, if you want, I can load yours into my truck, follow you to your house, and drop it off. " Wow! I had no idea someone would be so kind. I told him that I lived farther away than he probably would want to go. He said he lived in a town that was only about 10 or 15 minutes from where I lived. And he said he could help me.

I said okay, we loaded both of the TVs into his truck, he followed me to my house, we unloaded mine, and then he went on his way. I was so surprised how kind he was, and how nice it was for him to take time to do this.

People are really genuinely kind sometimes.

For skeptics who might say I was too trustworthy: I had his phone number and license plate. And I just got a good vibe from him. I hope he realized what a kind act that was. It makes me want to pay it forward.

It's the panel type used for the display. Off angle viewing isn't the best, but you'll want to be sitting directly in front of the panel. I have the QN95C 85" with VA panel, and my wife and I sit directly in front of it. No issues whatsoever. VA panels have superior contrast as well.

If I'm not going OLED, I'd rather have a VA panel over an ADS panel. Lastly, the 2023 QN90C utilizes an ADS panel.

Once you go short throw 4k laser projector onto a 120+ screen you'll never go back. I've had Tv's up to 80 inch before and they just pale in comparison, small, don't take up the whole wall and don't envelop your vision at home like a theater,. once you get over 100" or even 120 or 150 you start getting that field of vision where its like you're at the movies when you sit 6 to 8 feet away.

I'm a bit of a movie buff and have over 1000 4k Blu ray discs so having the quality for me is imperative. I would say the only down side is that you need the projector in a light controlled room, so you need curtains at the minimum but if you buy a high lumens laser one that shouldn't even be much of an issue even in broad daylight.

It's everyone's opinions of course but after going laser short throw projector I'll never buy a conventional TV again. Projectors have gotten WAY better in the past 3-4 years. especially after COVID and people were stuck inside and started buying home theaters.

I also picked up a high end polk audio 5.1 system and yamaha dolby receiver to pair with it! With dual 12" subwoofers in the floor unit, it shakes the room during big battle scenes and everything, It's really like BEING at the movies and all my friends and family comment on how cool it is when they come over!

I usually demo the movie "Abominable 4k blu ray" because it is a family movie, has amazing graphics and audio mix and is not likely to offend anyone. It's the perfect movie to showcase a home theater!

I also bought some of the Sams club reclining chairs that are similar to the movie ones with cup holders. I picked up 6 of those and put them in my living room so each guest is able to set their chair exactly how they want it!
What Projector would you recommend for a newbie. I have a large wall and room does have windows but has blackout curtains. TIA

Sam's Club called me saying I need to come back in and pay for the TV (Already picked up) because there was a glitch. They basically made it sound like it was my fault for coming and picking up the TV early, saying that TV should have never been picked for me. I said I would come in and pay once the money is back in my account. My online order says "Cancelled". This is ridiculous.

Wait.... you picked up the TV and paid the $991.90 for it, and now they are saying to bring it back? And pay what? The full $2300 price??

"Sorry. That's your fault Sam's Club for giving it to me and letting me pay for it when I was there. Your problem, not mine..." {CLICK - HANG UP}

How many people have successfully bought for full price at one store, and then took it to another store and returned/rebought at the discounted price? I see one person on here so far that has. Any others. Have the ability to do it where I'm located, as I have a store that has them at full price and another nearby at the $991 price. Just wondering if it's worth the time/effort vs chances I'll get told NO.

I ordered it online for 999.91 + tax. I called them to pick it up earlier than I initially intended. Something happened and my order was cancelled after I already picked up the TV. So, the full amount will be returned to my card (which means I will have gotten the TV for free) They called me so I can drive back to the store to pay for it AGAIN because they made a mistake and sold me a TV they said they shouldn't have sold me. All the while, making it sound like it's my fault and never apologizing for THEIR mistake.

Great deal as TV prices are cratering, if you don't need it you can wait to buy as TV prices just keep dropping. I have an 85" LG Not QLED and it has a good picture.

You need a truck
I picked mine up in a Tundra and it barely fit between the wheel wells but it stuck out over the 8 foot bed when I laid it flat. It's long for sure.

Ah, ok. That's fair that it needs to be paid for, but agree that the refund needs to happen first. When the money comes back to you, then it can go back to Sam's Club. Definitely don't bring the TV back with you when you go in, so they can't try to cancel everything and demand the TV back.

That's insane. It's a big tv not a small tablet that can be transport easily to return, never heard of that from a big company. Typically they just take the hit as a promo and move on .
