I'm on Simple Choice. Regular chat rep (through the app) says my segment is not eligible. Good luck, folks!

I've been screwed over adding a free line that they converted to a paid line despite checking with tmobiles help line multiple times to make sure that wouldn't be the case. I'd make sure everything you ask is screenshotted and well documented before doing any of these promos.
Use T-Force on Twitter and the whole chat history is saved in your DM's as proof of what they offered. But like others, I'm going on 3 hours with twitter T-Force and no reply yet.

Yes, you only pay taxes if you are on the Simple Choice plan or older. Yes, the free lines will have their data allotment.

Can you explain little bit more on this how process works? Thanks

that never ends well. they don't have to honor what an employee says. there are a lot of dumb employees who have no clue what they are talking about and spit out incorrect information.
It depends here and YMMV. When I signed up to T-Mobile 3 years ago the rep promised me $900 in Visa gift cards for all my lines for a promo during that time, but I didn't receive that. I pushed gently repeatedly, until a manager listened to the recording of the call and honored it. Combined with the Costco promo, I didn't need to pay my T-Mobile account for almost a year. As always if I had to do it again I wouldn't take the chance though it was "nice" when they honored the deal with me

Same. App chat said I'm eligible. Called 611. And rep said he was familiar with the promotion because lots of calls for it. Further instructed me that checking my account the promotion doesn't show up and that it is very targeted to about 10 percent of accounts. So idk. No free line for me.
I spoke to a rep (out of the country) and she said the promo is only available to 5000 eligible accounts. I was like okay...

I wouldn't even bother guys because reps don't have the information and we'll say you're eligible and screw up your account. I went through this on my old one plus plan with nine lines in December had multiple reps assure me of course that everything looked good and of course I got charged for it when I called and they said I wasn't eligible and nowadays instead of blanket promotions where everyone mostly is eligible for free lines it's very targeted most likely on the newer lines

Well if you have a plan that still charges taxes then you will have to pay the other charges (regulatory fees) and taxes and surcharges (fcc, state taxes, etc.).

One I spoke to sounded like he was from the nicest part of the states. Very proper. And very knowledgeable. But, is a second call worth it? Or tforce.

I started with chat but they called, transferred me a few times, finally I described the offer and the rep read the offer code to me so it must be there. Said I qualified, charged me the new line fee, and all seems good. They wanted to tie it to an IMEI but I told them I didn't have the phone on hand, and to send me a sim.

Hopefully it worked. Good luck to ya'll. I'd probably reach out to TForce though.

On Magenta Max with 3 lines. Chatted with them in the app asking if I'm eligible for "BYOD Line Discount ID230289" and she said yes.

Might call again and actually make sure the rep repeats the promo ID number to me. To verify. Because the one I spoke to claimed to know where to look. I didn't say the number but I did ask about the byod free line promo

I would get a hold of T-Force to make sure. For my call, she didn't see it on my account but had to reach out to a different department and she said they will have to me back within 48 hours. That tells me, I am not eligible. But, then again, she didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about this promo and she had to look it up. So, I am waiting for a response from T-Force still. Three hours in and nothing from T-Force.

We're getting free lines up the wazoo but no good deals on devices this year, not even people who moved to the stupid new plans.

They must be getting slammed. I'm not getting a response either.
