This deal Is as risky as holding in my incoming diarrhea for the next 3 hours. They are going to screw me over like they did with me EIP device promo credits.
Go 5G Plus plan with 4 lines, denied free line and agent tried to sell BOGO line.
I have the Magenta Max plan. Same, I am not eligible for this promo. Rep don't see the promo applied to my account. Rep, also told me about BOGO line. Which requires one to add a new line to get a BOGO phone which only covers up to $800. So not really BOGO, it is more like BOG90%OFF.

Done signing up via iPhone T-Mobile App chat. I have the One Plan.
She recognized the promotion "BYOD Line Discount ID230289" and repeated ID230289 in chat.
Asked if I had free lines on the account, I replied no. Not sure if it affects eligibility.
$35 device connection fee could not be waived. But gave a $10 credit on the next statement.
My 2022 Moto G Stylus 5G does not have eSIM so placed an order for a physical SIM.
Payment was made through a provided link / form, could not be added to the next bill.
At the end she recapped the promotion was applied and SIM purchase order #, etc.
Took over a hour, but everything seemed to work out in the end. Will monitor the account for any shenanigans.
This is what I got from chat using the T-Mobile app
"As I can check on my end your account is not eligible for the promo ID230289 but I have raised a request to enroll your account to the promotion and you will get the confirmation in a week on your device on the line."

You and the post under you sounds like shenanigans. I think many of the chat ones will most likely get a shaft later. Some commented to wait to see if the promo shows up on your account. There's no way for us to physically check with our having a rep check for us. My brother called and he was told that his also wasn't approved but they may send email notifications for the promo. So I guess for now it's. Same as last night. Who knows.

I have a Magenta 55+ plan with two lines and need to add a third.
Not surprisingly, chat said that my account was not eligible on my current plan but that if I changed to the go5g next 55 plan, I could get the 3rd line free. (Ie, instead of paying $180/month for three lines, it would be $120/month with the third line free)
This would still cost more than if I added a 3rd line to my Magenta 55+ plan ($105/month total). However, I was intrigued that they made this offer given the go5g next 55 is a discounted plan. Is it just an error on the part of the rep?
If not, is the added perks from the go5g plan worth and extra $15/month? Note that I currently pay an extra $11/month to get the Netflix family plan. I'm not sure if that cost disappears under go5g next.

If yes, profit.
If not, do a "NO INSTALL" on the line, it's like going back in time, and you never actually added a line.
