I'm by no means savvy on the phone plan front but I've had T-Mobile 2 lines One plan for several years. Any way this enables me to add my Apple Watch to a line for free?
I'm on the ONE plan and wasn't eligible for the BYOD free line promo since I already have 3 lines free from previous deal. But they were able to offer me BOGO line promo and was able to stack it with free Pixel 8 promo and free iPhone 14 after trade in.
New line is listed under my One Plan account with $0.00.
Also, if you go to Plan Details page you should see "Line Discount ID230289 (Additional Lines) under applied discounts and promotions.
Do you have any other free lines?

Done signing up via iPhone T-Mobile App chat. I have the One Plan.
She recognized the promotion "BYOD Line Discount ID230289" and repeated ID230289 in chat.
Asked if I had free lines on the account, I replied no. Not sure if it affects eligibility.
$35 device connection fee could not be waived. But gave a $10 credit on the next statement.
My 2022 Moto G Stylus 5G does not have eSIM so placed an order for a physical SIM.
Payment was made through a provided link / form, could not be added to the next bill.
At the end she recapped the promotion was applied and SIM purchase order #, etc.
Took over a hour, but everything seemed to work out in the end. Will monitor the account for any shenanigans.
I have the Magenta Max plan with 4 lines and had the same exact experience, only took around 50 mins to set everything up. My BYOD phone was setup/activated using eSIM and was assigned a new telephone number right away. Even received a confirmed text stating" Congrats on your new discount! You will receive your Line Discount ID230289 as long as you maintain eligibility"
Wanted to add here for those with Simple choice plans, any addons are not included in the free line such as additional data or international call addons. In other words you might end up with a 2gb data plan and wonder why it's not the same as your other lines.
It's going to be your base plan. An example is my base plan is 2 gb data and my addons are unlimited data. This means my free line will only have 2 gb data, not unlimited data. It was an uphill battle to get T-Mobile to add the addons, despite snapshots and logs of our conversations that clearly stated the rep promised addons were included. It wasn't worth my many hours of calls in a 1-2 month span to get it corrected. It has been made very clear by multiple reps, some that were senior in their position, that any new lines, free or not, will not get addons.
Wanted to inform anyone considering a free line with Simple Choice that you'll be paying the $5-$6 taxes for a free line that might not have the data plan you need for modern day standards. Otherwise free line is a great deal. Thumbs up!
