That's what the rep told me. I thought it was "just" a voice line, but she said it includes everything the rest of my lines have.
Red flag, be careful there! That's what a rep told me before where your free line will match your current lines. It ended up being the base plan line which is your voice and not including addons (which for me was unlimited data). That meant my free line was missing all the extras the other lines had. I had the grandfathered Simple Choice plan so it might be different than the newer plans. I'd definitely double check to be sure.

Just a heads up - I used the iMessage T-Force (different from the Twitter/X T-Force; iMessage is now international from what I understand while the Twitter T-Force is still US-based) and was told I was eligible for a line.

I got all the way through the process and paid the activation fee when the agent dropped a "We'll need to update your plan code" on me at the last minute. I pushed back and said that was not going to happen. After that, they changed their tune and said they were incorrect and had to change the limit on my plan line so they could add an additional line.

All seems very suspect, so I'll keep waiting on Twitter T-Force to reply.

Edit: They seem to be insistent that I will stay on my current plan so I'm going through with it. I'll update in a moment how screwed I am.
Update: iMessage T-Force changed my "One" plan to include more lines and they said they added the free line. I got a few scary text messages saying that a lot of my promos were removed but I checked with Twitter/X T-Force and they confirmed that those promos were re-added.

The odd thing is that Twitter T-Force said that I wasn't eligible for the BYOD free line, but when I told them that iMessage T-Force did add the free-line, they confirmed that I did have it. I have a follow-up message with Twitter T-Force to confirm for sure, but they haven't gotten back to me.

In other words, it's all messed up.

Done over the phone. I can potentially get an extra $5 credit a month as they give $5 a month per line enrolled on autopay using a bank account or debit card.

I always take advantage of these free lines as I'm on an old One Plan. Got to a total of 9 lines on my account, aka the 9-12 club. Great things happened to my bill, and I'm not risking screwing that up... but good luck to all!

Using in-app chat:
1. First the rep said I wasn't eligible for this promo, but they had another BYOD free line promo.
2. Then, I provided more info on this promo from the screenshot and they checked again.
3. They changed their story that I wasn't eligible for anything.
4. They started their cheesy language like "let me get you the deets" lol and then "WOW! This account already has 4 free lines, that's amazing and great news!" and then tried to upsell me for a regular paid line.

Not really. This is like every other T-Mobile promo. Nobody knows much. Lots of one line people I know didn't get it. And lots of multi line people got it (here in this post) got it. While some didn't. It's just all over the place.

It's the safest method. T force is more trustworthy because they are* US based.

If you call CS, you'll probably get some randi from the Philippines who will lie to your face to get some bonuses or commission or whatever and then screw you over. You'll be told you can get a free line and then you just end up with a paid line and then more calls and more annoyances to deal with.

Of course, not everyyyyy experience is like that. But T Force was once regarded as the go-to for any CS needs.

*note: they also cut down tforce staff from what I recall. So take everything with a grain of salt.

If you don't have an account, you can contact them through iMessage if you have an iPhone (go to maps, find a tmobile store, click on chat). I don't know how to do it on an Android. Otherwise, just create an account.
How do I even get a hold of a T Force person? I've reached people on X before but not FB

Promo worked for me. Free line AND free activation. I am on Amplified Plan. Kind of a cheapwr version of Magenta Max.

Data point: this is my 2nd free line. First one was gotten in 2022 December

That's it -
iMessage, X, FB β€” anything on SM is basically TForce.
