I signed up for the free BYOD line. I did so with the intent of bringing my daughter in law to our plan. She is currently on another T-Mobile account. I am being told by T-Mobile that it is not possible to port her line to the new BYOD line I have added. I can only transfer the number to my account as a new line I will have to pay for. Does anyone know a way around this?
I'm on grandfathered Simple Choice Family Match Plan and I was eligible for a free line due to me taking advantage of the Black Friday "buy a line get an iPhone 13 on us" deal. The T-Force rep said that this new, paid line made me eligible for the free line and she got me going with promo ID230405.

FYI - This is a BOGO so they are tied together for the life of your plan. So if you cancel the paid (BO) portion then the free line (GO) will convert into a paid line.

Yeah I'm aware. I still figured it's better to have a free spare than to not.
Line got added and promo shows but I'm being charged $15 a month for 6gb of data... thought free line would be same as my other 3 lines with unlimited data included.

I'm a first time T-Mobile user and got in on the 30 GB data plan at $10/mo. Yesterday I tried on chat support to have them convert it to esim and got turned down, but they offered me this voice/text line for free to activate with esim. The cheapest voice/data plan they had was $20. If I didn't already switch to Spectrum, this would have been a good option as well.

You should get a credit of $15 in the bill. That's what rep told me.
6GB is correct. This line won't have unlimited data. You must have 6GB plan before that got upgraded to unlimited. New lines will only have 6GB. Hope that helps.

After I commented I reached out to TForce and they removed the $15 monthly charge and gave me free 2gb of data. Could not get unlimited like my other lines. Was told when my old lines got upgraded to unlimited that was a one time promotion they did in the past, any new line on my plan will be charged for data. 2gb is enough for me though. Also, the $15 was for data only, I do get the $10 discount on my line making it free (apart from taxes).
After 3 weeks T-Mobile are now claiming that they cannot add the free line. The only offer they are willing to offer is B1G1. Anyone with this kind of experience? I'm on Magenta 6lines for $160

Same here. This was all BS. Got charged for the "free" line, even though 2x reps claimed I qualified.
The guy I talked to today blamed where I heard about this deal (here!) and said it was my fault for believing it. I owe $15 extra dollars for this "free" line and they wouldn't take it off the bill.
Once our device credits are paid out - we will churn off T-Mobile for this nonsense. What a waste of time (and $15)!
