Haven't had a chance to play this one yet, but have played Trekking the National Parks. TtNP is a little complicated for casual players if you include all the rules, but to make it more accessible to young/inexperienced/impatient players you can simply play it as a "collect the most beads" with the "Sorry!" mechanic of sending opponents back to start when you occupy the same space as them at the end of your turn.
Trekking the World apparently "fixed" some of the issues people had with TtNP. The art on the cards alone is worth $25 just to look at them.
