Question
I've been using SD for almost 18 years and the deals really are lacking nowadays. What other websites are you recommending?

I was a Fatwallet fan back in the day.
Some smaller websites... probably, but not the larger commission-based outlets. I'm seeing a lot of great deals not featured on SD on these sites, and then, suddenly, same deals pop up in the SD new thread "finds". I do not mean the SD staff deal hunters, but serial SD deal posters. Also, price-watching web aggregators with massive databases regularly post incredible price drops on various items. Those using them professionally could make a fortune on eBay or elsewhere.
No, not the FW, of course.

Oh wow, FW can be mentioned by name now. I forget what we used to call it... Obese pocketbook?
Truth be told, I got some baller deals on FW back in the day that I think edged even SD. But the site got worse and worse and then SD got better. I think SD was better organized with the deal displays and what not.
I know we'll continue to see truly SDs from time to time, but it won't ever be like the heyday of the 2000s. Newegg and their FAR clearance sales before they charged sales tax. I could squeeze out a few cents on the purchases with CC rewards and referral credits even after a postage stamp.

Would be nice to have something in place to teach noobs how to hunt for deals and pass on some of our knowledge.

Out of nowhere they emailed me and said I violated terms/rules and deactivated my account (with $10 they won't let me claim.) I emailed back asking for an explanation, no response.
Has this happened to anyone else??
