At $340 vs $249 I would get the Series X over the S, as you get double memory and much upgraded graphical capability.
You hypothetically gonna want to do that…by having the console needing to be erased (because it theoretically already set up with your acct, downloaded games and such), prepare+repackage the system into the box, go to MS dot com to complete remove device from your MS account (yes this is a thing), and then take it with you to your car/bus/ or walk, go to the store in your invaluable free time to make a return (who know how long)…just to save $10??? If so, it is unnecessarily petty.
But wait, what if there's another price drop for $10 lesser than this deal? Redoing everything?? Is that really worth of your time? Pls don't be Mr. Krab.
If you, HOWEVER for example, already got the Series X being UNOPENED and the option for you to go to the short trip store for return , I supposed it is not a bad idea. Everyone case is diffeeent so YMMV.
I had to say this because the general idea of score slick deal just to save $ while is awesome, the $ shouldn't be petty nor laborious unless it is super easy or effcient.
