Make sure to choose the pack of two. Its the same price as the pack of one. Mistake? Maybe...
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

One of the reviews mentioned that the inside rusted within a few weeks, preventing them from turning the key and thus rendering the lock useless. This is something to consider not necessarily just for this particular lock, but for any key lock in general, as I wouldn't have thought about it.
So how much to spend on a $411 Rattan e-bike that may not arrive?
They have a "free" key replacement offer. Regardless, people crapping on this deal because the lock isn't secure enough .. please enlighten us all as to what bike lock will provide any security to any thief willing to open it in public. If it's anywhere near this price, I'll buy the entire company that makes it.

General rule is your lock should be about 1/10th the cost of your bike.
Obviously you can find better deals,
but in general you wouldn't want to lock your $1000 bike with $5 lock or spend $70 on a lock for a $200 bike.
What a load of poop this information is.

Not available nearby, and not worth paying $6.99 for shipping.

$41.10. And if the bike doesn't show up, return the lock.

Does this apply to the deadbolt on my house? Can you point me on the direction of a $35,000 deadbolt?

Lol it's usually iPhone users that say this, "Why would I use a $5 cable to charge my $1k+ phone?"

Guess we applying this to everything now.

Lol it's the new "Ew made in China" statement.

Strictly for a quick dash inside a store or cafe to pick something up, or for when you have the bike in eyesight and can run outside in case someone tries to steal it. I've locked up my $2000+ titanium road bike with locks similar to this in such situations, without incident.

This is the lock-picking lawyer and what I have for you today is:

If you want real protection, use a Kryptonite Ulock or Chain. The chains used to be $40 and now they're $140, but that's capitalism for you.

I have this lock. I use it to lock my bike to the ring hooks on my trucks bed.

Do i trust the lock will prevent theftโ€ฆnope. I use it as a deterrent to the less skilled thieves.

They also offer free keys.

I have a cheap $2500 FS MTB.

A determined bike thief will steal a bike no matter the type of lock it has, nor time of day, whether on a populated area or not. The fact of the matter is no-one will stop them doing so. Witnesses will just simply record the event.

Using the 10% rule, a lock from this 2-pack deal will protect no more than a $28 bike. Good news โ€“ these locks *are* good enough to protect a $55 bike โ€“ you just have to buy the one-pack! It's the same price as the two-pack, but twice the protection!
